Between 28-30th October, another edition of Deep Tech CEE Summit&Challenge took place in Warsaw. This is the largest event of its kind in our country. Once again it attracted leaders and innovators from different continents, including Central and Eastern Europe investors . Lodz University of Technology was also among the invited universities.
The Director of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, PhD. Zbigniew Szamel, was invited to take part in an expert panel and workshop on raising finance by start-ups. The panel included representatives from four universities, including Lodz University of Technology and Jagiellonian University. In addition panel experts included National Centre for Research and Development employees and companies from the business environment. During discussions and mentoring sessions, experts answered questions from start-up representatives.
The Deep Tech CEE Summit&Challenge event is organised by the Innovative Poland Foundation, under the patronage of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. It is held in cooperation with the European Innovation Council (EIC) which is a key initiative within the European Union to support ambitious technology programmes. With a strong emphasis on research and innovation, the EIC plays an important role in supporting the technological revolution in Europe. The EIC also prioritises the development of strategic sectors that are central to Europe's future economic and social challenges.
